The Baltimore Ravens acquired running back Willis McGahee in a trade on March 9, 2007. In exchange for McGahee, the Ravens sent three draft picks -- third- and seventh-round selections in 2006 and a third-rounder in 2007 - to the Buffalo Bills. The Bills drafted McGahee out of the University of Miami with the 23rd overall pick in the 2003 NFL draft. He had suffered a major knee injury in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl but was still a first-round selection. McGahee didn't play in 2003 but impressed in his first action the following season, leading the Bills with 1,128 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. In 2005, McGahee rushed for a then-career-high 1,247 yards to go along with six touchdowns. In his last year with the Bills, McGahee rushed for 990 yards but missed two games with a rib injury. Fans turned against him in the offseason when McGahee made comments about the team moving to Toronto in a January 2007 Penthouse article. "They should just bring the Buffalo Bills to Toronto," he was quoted as saying. Two months later, McGahee took another shot at Buffalo in The Sun, complaining about the restaurants and the women there, saying, "It's no big city. You know what I did every day? I came home and played video games." McGahee made his return to Buffalo as a member of the Ravens on Oct. 21, 2007. He carried 19 times for 114 yards and a 46-yard touchdown. It was one of his best games of the season, but the Ravens lost to the Bills, 19-14. In college, McGahee gained 2,067 yards and scored 31 touchdowns in 21 games with the Hurricanes. He was a consensus All-American and a Heisman finalist as a sophomore in 2002, running for 1,753 yards and 28 touchdowns. McGahee was born on Oct. 20, 1981, in Miami and attended Central High School.
