It¿s the oldest and largest campus in the University of Wisconsin System, a statewide network of 13 universities, 13 transfer colleges and an extension program. Current enrollment is just over 42,000 students. In the fall of 2007, the university offered 134 undergraduate majors and 153 Master¿s degree programs.
